Donny vs. SMARTBRO

It was April 2009 when Donny started to use Smartbro. The first one that he used was Smartbro plug it. It cost for about PHP 1,995. Actually, he continued using this plug it just to have a temporary internet connection with his brand new laptop.

There's no problem in the internet connection using plug it of Smartbro but in some cases where there are no 3G signal in your area, it won't work at all or you would just sacrifice with  its GSM connection. Smartbro become a great influence to Donny because majority of his neighborhood were using Smartbro connection not knowing the consequences that he will encounter afterwards.

It was mid of April 2009 when Donny decided to subscribed to Smartbro using the canopy. It is plan PHP 999 where Donny had immediately signed for the provision of the internet connection because its too costly if he would continue using Smartbro plug it for it is a prepaid one. He spend most of his time using internet during his spare time. 

Donny had never complained to Smartbro in the first place because after his requisition for internet connection, they immediately responded on the same day afternoon. This is the first good impression  to Smartbro by Donny.

Three weeks later after the connection, Donny started his calvary with Smartbro. The speed become sucked where you don't know how to described it. Donny took his first action by troubleshooting the internet speed connection. He found out that the internet speed of his Smartbro at that time was:

Download Speed = 0.14 Mbps   and      Upload Speed = 0.1 Mbps

Donny  had tried to troubleshoot first his PC connection if there is any problem instead of getting blame Smartbro with their connection. Unfortunately, there's no problem with his PC that's why he started to call the customer representative of Smartbro. After taking time of conversion with Smartbro Customer Representative, they advised to wait for 24 hours because they have a problem with their base station ( whatever they called it). Actually, they also got the cp number of Donny for they will going to call him for some information or whatever update with his smartbro connection.

It was 48 hours later, Donny did not received any information nor update from the customer representative of Smartbro. Donny had tried again to checked the internet connection of Smartbro. Again, it is again too sucked than you'll never expected in your whole life in this planet earth.

He tried again to call the Smartbro representative hoping his connection would be fixed on the same day. Again, Donny had received the same adviced as what had been told to him the first time when he called Smartbro.

Weeks later, the same problem again was encountered with Smartbro connection. The scenario was never ending until this present. Currently, smartbro speed connection of Donny was only ranging as what had shown below using 2wire.com. (Click the image to enlarge)

If this will always be the situation, Donny will terminate his contract with Smartbro after one year. It only means that Smartbro is not working well to satisfy their customer where there are lots of people are complaining to them.

The question here is: Why are you still subscribing to Smartbro since you know there's a lot of problem with their service?

Answer is NO CHOICE. Actually, Donny's first plan was to subscribe to PLDT ,but for the meantime they have limited number of areas to serve the connection just like the place of Donny. No choice but to subscribe to Smartbro.

That's the fate of the customers of Smartbro like Donny.

How did Donny discovered Blogging?

It was only this mid-year of 2009 when Donny had discovered the world of blogosphere. Approximately around June 2009. It was the time when he is researching on how to tweak the speed of internet connection, unexpectedly he discovered a Filipino Blog pertaining to SMARTBRO connection speed. He become curious that time on how to make a crappy website like what he saw.

Until such time, he also discovered some foreigner blogs like Grizzly Brears , the author of How to Make Money Online for Beginners. Donny was inspired on that blog because it was also free hosted by Blogger.com but its ranking dominates on different search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Those are the most familiar search engines in the world of internet. He also discovered other blogs like Carl Ocab, the author of Make Money Online with the 13 years old who also dominates its ranking in different search engines like Grizzly Brears.

How did Donny started his own blog?

The first blog he made was Let's Blog With Donny. It was free hosted by Wordpress where he got the attention of many readers around the internet world. The blog covers a variety of topics just like this blog that you are reading. Donny was only posted a few blogs there but he stopped because the media gallery capacity is very limited to 10MB for that free hosted blogging software. He then switched to Blogger.com where his first niche is about technology. It was entitled Personal Life  of Donny and Technology Updates. Donny was never been passionate with this niche that's why he think again another niche that would something make sense to the readers. The competition was very tight and he thought that this would not be the kind of topic to choose as a beginner.

He tried to pick up another topic entitled Make Money Online With Donny. This is a popular niche now adays. After making his seventh post, he never continue because the visitors is too sucked. He switched the topic to Make Money Blogging Concept but still the visitors is too sucked though Donny make it on top of the Google but its too late to realize that the chosen keywords has no one looking or searching for that... Too bad experienced for Donny but lessons learned. 

Donny had started to read SEO blogs and free lessons over the internet. He started with the Google Adwords in order to choose a niche that has less competition but many searchers. He then come up with "Learn Electrical Engineering for Beginners", optimizing the keywords "Learning Electrical Engineering where there are more than 3,000 searchers per month globally. Following some of the lessons learned about SEO, Donny dominates its ranking in Yahoo for the keyword "Learning Electrical Engineering". Though he did not make it on Google but he discovered that he only made few backlinks on Google. His traffic is now ranging for more than 50 + visits per day. Unfortunately, the blogs mentioned was only a test blog.

Donny had decided to make another blog choosing his own name DONNY.COM. It has a total searches of 823,000 per month globally. Donny had already finished his seventh lesson in SEOand he is planning to share it in his succeeding post. This blog will be his official website and also planning to buy his own domain in Godaddy.com. Also, Donny has also a plan to link his other blog mentioned above "Learn Electrical Engineering for Beginners" as a tutorial portion of this site. He temporarily stopped his blogging there in order to optimize this site DONNY.COM.

What was Donny learned when he started to make a blog?

Donny is a very perfectionist person. He never stops in researching in order to make things done. Just keep on researching and reading to be more educated on something that you want to achieve. That's how learning process is. Donny was also learned on how to choose the right keywords for his blog using the SEO techniques that he learned.

Donny's Mission in the World of Blogosphere

Like other sites or blog, Donny had its mission why this site was established. Since he started in the world of blogsphere, the only main concept that he want to deliver is the articles that makes sense to the readers. But for you to get what Donny wants to say, he made a list of missions. These missions are those you can benefit after reading his blogs or articles.

DONNY.COM Mission Statement:

• Donny will write and publish a high quality content blogs that everybody would benefit. When it says high quality content blogs, these are based on the real life experienced or learnings of what Donny had achieved. It is also mean that this blog is promising and would not include any adult content. If there is any, it would be discuss or written in the most professional way.

• Donny will contribute to other bloggers or readers like giving them an advice through blog comments or by means of email. It would mean giving them some supplementary readings, products or other website that would give additional or supplementary informations to their topic of interest.

• Donny will give time of writing updates to this blog though he is a full time worker in the company. A three times a week interesting updates would be published by this blog. A minimum of 500 words articles would be a good servings to the readers. 

• Donny will help readers to solved problems in their everyday life. As previously mentioned in About Donny, this blog will talk about everything. It will not only concentrating on one topic but a variety of topic.

About Donny

Donny was born on May 21, 1977 in the Philippines. His name was derived in one of the famous  performer named Donny Osmond of USA. He was the youngest child of Romeo and Francisca Salazar. He has  two brothers and presently happily married. His parents raised him in Alabang Muntinlupa, Philippines where he also started his primary education in Alabang Elementary School. Donny and his two brothers were also started their education there in Alabang until high school at San Roque Catholic School.

During his high school time, he was a bit confused of what course or degree he will going to take at that time. Their family was only living in an average way of life. Donny is a very resourceful person that's why he overcome every trials and obstacles during his mid year of high school studies. Because of his positive attitude, he finally came into decision of taking up Electrical Engineering at Technological Institute of the Philippines in Manila. Donny took up this course because of his good academic records in Mathematics and Sciences. He did not mind already of taking up a medicine course which is his first choice at that time. Unfortunately, this plan was not push through because of their family financial status.

Donny had overcome all the challenges during his college studies until he finally graduated last April 1999 with the degree of Electrical Engineering. He did not waste his time after their graduation. Donny had continue with the plan of reviewing for the board exam which took for about six months.It was during May to October 1999. At this point, he proved his ability to achieved everything with all efforts. He passed the board exam with the average rating of 82.6%.

At the time after passing the board exam, Donny got the first job in one of the electronics company where he become a Process Engineer. Again at this point, another trials came in their family. Donny's father loss the job. It was during the time of 2001 where economic status was too down including the electronics company. Before the end of  August 2001, he decided to resign with his first job. The reason why Donny did this way is to support more their family financially. His first job salary is not  good enough to support their family. It was two months after, that was October 2001 when he finally got his luck to be one of the pioneer in one company located in Calamba Laguna, Philippines.

Donny had shown again his ability and talent. He was hired as a Supervisor and because of high expectations of his japanese manager,  he studied how to set-up and troubleshoot injection machines. Donny had overcome again this challenge. He impressed his manager though there are times that he was always being scolded for some reasons.  He is also one of the team members who worked to make that company an ISO certified. Donny and his colleagues also gave him a credit with his ability. Another trials came again in their family around year 2003 when his eldest brother made a vehicular accident. Seven people were injured and one died on that accident. Donny's second eldest brother was not push through going abroad to help their brother's case. The time again came when their family had financially in trouble.

Again Donny had decided to resign with his second job on the same year because he was pirated by one company located in Sto. Tomas Batangas, Philippines. That was a newly established company dealing with plating of electronics and semiconductor devices. Since, it was a plating company, it also deals with different chemicals which is one of his weaknesses. He just accepted the offer because of the compensation package. It was year February 2004 when Donny did not make it to be a regular employee because of his health problem caused by chemicals. At that time, he just accepted his fate and it's really not for him. That's the time when Donny inspired more when he bookmark this quote:

"Do the one thing you think you cannot do. Fail at it. Try again. Do better the second time. The only people who never tumble are those who never mount the high wire. This is your moment. Own it."

It was only 2 weeks later, when Donny got a recall from his previous company. It was the company before he transferred to Sto. Batangas, Philippines. He was surprised with this call and with full honor to his previous manager, he accepted again the offer but did not make a promise to stay longer. Donny just grab that opportunity in order to sustain the needs of his family and his japanese manager understand Donny's situation in life.

It was seven months later mid- year of 2005 when he leave again that company. Donny started to work on the semiconductor field at that time he got his new job again somewhat located in Carmona Cavite, Philippines. When he gained his knowledge of semiconductor in that company, one  year later Donny was transferred in one  of the most famous american multinational semiconductor company located in General Trias Cavite, Philippines. He started his work there last August 2006.

Presently, Donny decided to stay there and now three years working as a Supervisor with upgraded position. Previously, Donny was only opportunistic because of needs. He is looking for a ways to get rid off ther family from financial problem. People are always looking for their contentment and that's our right. Donny had a plan to go overseas someday before getting married. He don't mind about his age. Time will come he will settle down.

Recently, Donny discovered the field of blogosphere that's why he started to make his website.  He made several test blogs until he discovered the techniques of SEO and finally decided to make his name the domain name of his website -DONNY.COM. This will be another struggle of Donny for joining the field of making money online.

His website will publish more on general concepts. Donny will talk about everything - his lifestyle and different worth ideas.

Donny is a family man. He will just do everything to make things done.
